Scholarships and funding
The Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the University of Pavia has opened a call for applications for two scholarships dedicated to students enrolling in the MSc in Civil Engineering for Mitigation of Risk from Natural Hazards (CIVRISK), the international joint degree programme offered by the University of Pavia and IUSS Pavia. The application deadline is 17 June 2026.
Two scholarships of €4,000 per academic year are available:
- One scholarship funded by Fondazione PEPE and the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture;
- One scholarship fully funded by the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture within the “Dipartimento di Eccellenza 2023–2027” project.
Scholarships are renewable for the second year, provided that students satisfy the academic requirements specified in the call.
Eligibility
Applications are open to students who:
- intend to enroll in the MSc CIVRISK programme for the first time in the academic year 2026/2027;
- have already completed the pre-evaluation process for admission;
- satisfy the academic requirements for direct admission;
- or submit a pre-evaluation request together with the scholarship application.
How to Apply
Candidates must complete the online application form and upload the required documentation, including:
- completed application form;
- identity document/passport;
- academic transcripts and certificates;
- CV;
- optional reference letters.
Selection Procedure
Candidates will be evaluated based on:
- academic qualifications and grades;
- study and work experience;
- reference letters (maximum two);
- an oral interview conducted in English.
Interviews will start from 24 June 2026 and may also be conducted remotely upon request.
Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted by:
17 June 2026
The final ranking list will be published by 26 July 2026 on the programme website.
The scholarship will be officially awarded after successful enrolment in the MSc programme by 31 October 2026.

EDiSU Pavia (Ente per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario) is an Agency for the Right to Higher Education, which was established by the University of Pavia and is under its direct control.
Each year in June/July EDiSU publishes a Call for Accommodation and a Call for Scholarship.
Edisu scholarship benefits include:
- Accommodation in a Residence (“Collegio”);
- One meal per day at the Canteens;
- A sum of money, according to the student’s economic situation.
Edisu scholarship for off-site students can consist of:
Option 1) Accommodation in a Collegio + One meal per day at the Canteens + Up to 4.470,00 euros;
Option 2) One meal per day at the Canteens + Up to € 7.256,00 euros.
Students have to submit the application on Edisu Online Student Services by selecting all the benefits they are interested in.
In the following, the details of the previous call (2025/2026), as soon as the new call is available, the information will be updated.
In order to apply, students have to meet some merit-based and income-based requirements.
The application must be submitted by August 4th, 2025. Students have to select all the 3 benefits.
For beneficiaries, the timing is as follows:
- Assignment of a room: around the end of September/October 2025;
- One free meal per day: from January 2026;
- Payment of the sum of money: when the required number of credits is earned.
In order to apply, students have to meet some merit-based and income-based requirements.
The application must be submitted by September 15th, 2025. Students have to select both benefits.
For beneficiaries, the timing is as follows:
- One free meal per day: from January 2026;
- Payment of the sum of money: when the required number of credits is earned.
Students who do not meet the income-based requirements can apply only for Accommodation by August 4th, 2025.
Students have to select only this benefit; the beneficiaries will be assigned a room around the end of September/October 2025.
